Dr. Jon Merz, University of Pennsylvania, is the Principal Investigator for this activity, which is being carried out in conjunction with the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala (USAC) and Universidad Francisco Marroquin (UFM) to support the capacity building for Guatemalan IRB members and investigators.

Dr. Sergio Litewka, University of Miami Bioethics Institute and CITI Program at the University of Miami, will represent the CITI Program on this project, in an effort to initiate discussion and the development of online ethics and compliance training to meet the specific needs of IRB members and investigators in Guatemala.
