COGR Recommendation on Reducing Administrative Work for Federally Sponsored Research (Jan 2017)
Recommendation: Use Organization-Specific Modules with CITI Program Courses
The Council on Governmental Relations (COGR) issued responses to the National Academies Committee on Federal Research Regulations and Reporting Requirements' two-part report on Optimizing the Nation’s Investment in Academic Research; A New Regulatory Framework for the 21st Century. In conjunction with those responses, COGR created a checklist of actions to facilitate the reduction of administrative work in areas that they note “researchers have identified as being particularly burdensome." We note that COGR’s checklist includes CITI Program, and its ability to customize learner groups with modules that can deliver organization-specific content, as part of the effort to reduce burden.
