What organizations have approved CITI Program courses for CME credits?
CITI Program courses are approved through the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. The Albert Einstein College of Medicine Montefiore Center for Continuing Medical Education (CCME) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for CME (ACCME) and the American Psychological Association (APA). The Montefiore Learning Network is an accredited provider of the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
What is the maximum number of CME credits I can claim per course?
It is the maximum number of credits designated for the course you are taking. If two or more levels of credits are offered within this maximum number, your selections cannot in total be greater that this maximum number. You should only claim credits commensurate with the extent of your participation in the course.
Is there a time limit for completing CME certified courses?
Yes. All modules for courses that are certified for CME credits must be completed within the period assigned by the provider for your course and your profession. Credit designation periods are indicated on course CE disclosures pages presented to learners at the start of courses for their review and acknowledgment.
Are fees for CE Certificates paid for by the learners or their organizations?
Learners are responsible for these fees. CE credit certificates are provided as an additional and separate service to individual learners wishing to accrue CME credits toward their professional credentials. Subscription fees paid by organizations only give learners access to CITI Program courses for their assigned training.
Do learners receive proof of payment for their purchases?
Yes. An e-mail acknowledging of payment is sent to learners along with their Certificates immediately upon completing their purchase.
What if I need an extra copy of my CE certificate?
You can print a copy of your CE certificate any time, by clicking on the PDF icon posted in the CME Purchase box located at the top of your CME Preference page (CEUs tab).
Does CITI Program send my CME credits earned to my recertification agency?
No. CITI Program does not submit credits earned to your recertification agency. It is up to the individual to submit the necessary information to their agency.
Will CITI Program update me on my professional recertification status?
No. Your licensing agency will inform you of your status. CITI Program can inform you on which certified courses and modules you have completed.
