CITI Managed Content Information
What is CITI Managed?
Summary:
CITI Managed is an optional feature where an organizations curriculum, groups, and/or stages are structured, updated, and maintained by CITI Program. In short, CITI Program would setup and manage whichever courses (and associated modules) are set to be CITI Managed. For example, an organization can request that an entire series such as our All Access Webinars package be CITI Managed, or that a singular course such as Technology, Ethics, and Regulations be CITI Managed. (This feature would also ensure that any new webinar releases be automatically added to current organizational-subscribers enjoying our All Access Webinar package.) There is no limit associated with the number of course-offerings an organization can have set to CITI Managed.
Details:
In the CITI Program LMS (learning management system), organizations have their own individual records for managing the educational content they provide for their learners. Principally these records comprise of curricula, groups, and stages. CITI Managed is a new method of centralizing the control of some aspects of these records to provide organizations with automatic updates.
When an organization opts in to having a curriculum, group, or stage to be CITI Managed, some of the columns of their own organizational records for curricula, groups, and stages will be overwritten by the data from the CITI Managed Core record, and updates to the CITI Managed Core record will be synced to the organization's records. The organization will retain control over the settings of curricula, groups, and stages which are individualized, such as expiration and when email notifications are sent out, although those options may have some additional limitations to make them work with CITI Managed.
Key Features
CITI Managed is available for curricula, groups, and stages.
When any of the above options are set to be CITI Managed, CITI Program will apply the standard implementation for that option. Standard implementation refers to; when using the HSR - Biomedical Basic course as an example, how the authors would have intended the course be presented. This means that the required modules for the course would be set in a specific manner, and would no longer be available for customization by the organization (for as long as they are set to be CITI Managed).
This standard implementation would also be utilized for the enrollment questions portion of your organizations offerings in relation to what course-option is selected as CITI Managed. To contrast, all other enrollment questions that are not being CITI Managed, will retain all organizational nomenclature and customization (they will remain unchanged).
Benefits of CITI Managed:
- Dynamic content updates: The feature would automatically update the selected curricula with the latest versions of training materials. This ensures that users receive the most current information and helps organizations stay compliant with changing regulations or best practices.
- Ease of Use: Simply request CITI Manged for a specific curricula, group, or stage, and forget about it! We will implement the training in its entirety without the need for submitting selection forms or additional documentation.
- Retention of Organizational Compliance: When utilizing CITI Managed, an organization retains the control of when learners receive reminders to renew expiring training, and the expiration period associated with the awarded certificate.
Overall, CITI Managed simplifies the oversight of training curricula by automating the creation, assignment (enrollment question implementation), and tracking processes. It saves time for admins, enhances compliance, and ensures that individuals receive the necessary training to excel in their roles.
