Connecting your ORCID iD with CITI Program

Connecting your ORCID iD with an existing account:

1. Log in to your CITI Program account.
2. Select your name from the upper-right corner to reveal additional options.
3. Select the “Profiles” option.




4. Select the “Connect your ORCID iD” button located under the Linked Identifiers section.




5. You will have multiple options for connecting your ORCID iD, such as entering the iD and password directly or logging in through an institutional portal.
 

5a. When selecting the “Access through your institution” option, you will be directed to an institution-search page where you will enter the name of your institution to select it. Afterwards, select the Continue button.

6. Confirmation of a successful connection/link will always be displayed on your “Profiles” page as follows:





 

Connecting your ORCID ID during registration (for new accounts only):

1. Select “Register” from the top right corner of the CITI Program homepage.


2. Complete steps 1-3 of the registration process. Refer to the following guide for registration guidance: Guide to Getting Started
3. Select the “Connect your ORCID iD” option during step 4 of registration.

4. You will have multiple options for connecting your ORCID iD, such as entering the iD and password directly or logging in through an institutional portal.
 

5. A successful connection prompt will be displayed and your ORCID iD will be saved upon moving to the next step of registration.

6. Complete steps 5-7 of the registration process (Guide to Getting Started).

7. You can confirm your ORCID iD link status from the "Profiles" menu at any time after registration.
